The Boherboy Water Supply Scheme involves a major upgrading and expansion of the water supply network and storage infrastructure in the areas of Saggart, Rathcoole, Brownsbarn, Citywest, the Southern parts of Tallaght and areas of Ballycragh, Old Bawn, Knocklyon, Ballyboden and Ballycullen. This scheme will provide consumers with a reliable, modern water storage and supply infrastructure that will benefit not only the existing population, but will also facilitate new development in the previoulsy mentioned areas.

South Dublin County Council awarded the €25M contract for the Civil Works to Pierse Contracting Ltd on 18th March, 2008. Construction will commence shortly and the expected duration of the contract is 18 months.
