Advance Credit System

South Dublin County Council is introducing a new advance credit system on a phased basis that will replace bin tags for domestic refuse collection. This new service will be available to all our customers by the end of 2009.

Refuse Collection

The Council provides a weekly domestic refuse collection service to households within South Dublin County Council's administrative area.

Cleansing Section

Cleansing Unit
The Council provides a Cleansing Service throughout the county which includes the following:

Waste Tyres: Householders
Waste Electrical & Electronic Equipment: Householders
Waste Batteries
Clothes Collections

Householders are encouraged to recycle clothes and textiles by using:

  • Clothes banks provided by South Dublin County Council, click read more below for list of Clothes Banks in South Dublin County
  • Charity shops - there are a number of charity shops throughout the County, which welcome good quality items delivered to them by householders.
